Information you share

When you place an order, checkout asks for information such as your name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, phone number, and order details. An account also keeps the details you supply and your order history. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and the information in your message.

Use the order number when asking about a purchase. Please do not send card numbers or other sensitive payment details by email or through a contact form.

Why information is used

Order and contact information is used to process purchases, provide order updates, answer questions, support your account, address returns or order issues, and maintain required transaction records. Technical information helps operate and protect the website.

Placing an order or contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter. If newsletter signup is offered, marketing consent is requested separately.

Services involved in your visit

The store runs on WordPress and WooCommerce and is hosted by Hostinger. Payment processing is provided through Stripe when that payment method is available at checkout. Stripe handles the payment information entered into its payment form; order records may include a payment reference and limited payment details such as card type and last four digits.

Customer-service messages and order emails use our MochaHost email service. Information needed for delivery may also be shared with service providers involved in fulfilling your order. Service providers can process information in countries outside Canada, where local laws may apply.

Cookies & saved pieces

WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies for functions such as sign-in, security and keeping your shopping session. Blocking these cookies in your browser may affect those features.

Your saved-piece wishlist is stored in this browser on this device. It is not automatically synchronized with an account. Clearing browser storage removes it. If the optional newsletter popup is enabled, this browser can also remember that you have dismissed or completed signup so it is not shown repeatedly.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website. Analytics can collect information about pages viewed, interactions, referral sources, and browser and device information, using cookies or similar identifiers. Google Tag Manager is used to manage website tags.

Google processes this information and may process it outside Canada. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage cookies through your browser and review the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. The add-on applies to Google Analytics and does not disable essential shopping cookies or every other website service.

Your privacy requests

You can ask about the personal information associated with your account or orders, request access or correction, ask about deletion, or raise a concern by emailing info@hymnandco.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests are handled subject to applicable law, including records we may need to retain.

Completed order records are currently not automatically anonymized on a fixed schedule. Account, order and customer-service records may remain available for order support and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us about a particular record or a retention or deletion request.
